About Me

I have a sustained interest in, and participate in ongoing training on, eating problems, particularly bulimia, and in anxiety and depression that emerges for a mother after childbirth. Symbolically my interest and desire to understand these problems that come up for people has to do with a fascination with the human capacity to take in and make use of nurturing and love, and the ability to bring forth life, engage fully in relationship and be creative and generative. These capacities are potential in everyone, but sometimes need to be activated through psychological work and life experience.

I enjoy working with couples on communication, conflict, and nurturing and sustaining relationship. I’ve also enjoyed working with teens on issues of finding their own voice and identity, differentiating self in the context of peers and family and society, and dealing with the pressures of coming of age in the current time.
